  11. No sleeping during the day.

…can make a difference.

If you need more help than that, other non-drug options are safe herbs and melatonin found in Easy Doze. This safe herbal blend is very effective in getting you to sleep. You can try it for free here. What we like about Easy Doze is that it is completely natural yet still is as effective as other chemical sleeping pills according to users.

Other non toxic and harmless help for insomnia involves your brain. You can use hypnosis tapes which can have some effect, and you can use audio using binaural beats. Binaural beats is a fairly new science that involves using a tone in one ear, a different tone in the other ear in order to produce a desired frequency of brain wave such as the brainwave pattern of sleeping. I have used binaural technology for years to induce deep meditation so am well aware of the effectiveness of the sound technology.

Binaural beats are harmless, gentle and very pleasant to use. It is a gentle way to go to sleep, and to stay asleep. I have spent many a night with my light weight headphones having the most delicious deep sleep. While I am a hypnotist I have to say I do prefer the binaural sound technology over hypnosis for this purpose. Give it a try, you’ll be most pleasantly surprised.

Now, let’s look at something very interesting and that is your brain waves. Do you know that when you are asleep versus being awake there is a difference in the frequency of your brain waves? That if your brainwaves are that of being wide awake that you can not go to sleep?

Insomnia Medicine, Good Choice Or Not?

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Insomnia medicine come in many forms. Anyone battling insomnia obviously wants to be free of the physical and emotional effects of insomnia as soon as possible, not to mention the drudgery of being awake in the night.

There can be some more gentle options than choosing prescription medication which frequently come with less than pleasant side effects.

There are many safe and effective remedies for insomnia that are natural and without the “hangover” frequently experienced with pharmaceuticals.

Herbs have been used for thousands of years and are very potent medicine. Some herbs used to combat insomnia are Chamomile, Hops, Valerian and many others. Blends with different herbs can be more effective than a single herb. These herbs are taken as a tea, in capsule form and sometimes in the bath.

Homeopathic remedies can be helpful for insomnia as well. Interestingly the remedy Coffea, made from coffee beans is really useful in cases of insomnia when the mind is working overtime and it is hard to relax. Homeopathy is a very precise science therefore many of the symptoms are taken into consideration before deciding on one remedy.

Conditioning your brain for deep and restive sleep with audio technology aka brainwave entrainment. This technology has been around since the 80’s and have been used for memory enhancement, focus, concentration, depression and insomnia. This is not only very easy and natural but it is also very pleasant. Listening becomes something one looks forward to.

Using headphones, the rhythmic nature of specific frequencies of sounds very gently and naturally guide your brain into natural restorative sleep. Not only does it help you fall asleep, it helps you STAY asleep. Listening to the sounds have no side effects whatsoever.

Listening to the sounds will also train your brain into a new pattern -that of sleeping when it is night. Like Pavlov’s dog, we are all creatures of habit and once we have the pattern of waking up at night it can be difficult to break. Using the tracks is a powerful tool to train your brain to sleep at night.

The pattern of the brain when we are awake and maybe worrying about something, or fretting that we are not getting enough sleep, is very different from the pattern of the brain when we are sleeping. Actually, it is just about impossible to fall asleep from a state of restlessness or worry. The sound technology will gently guide your brain away from the worrying or over-thinking into sleep. Nice.

You can get more info about the sound technologyhere. We endorse it whole heartedly.
